In response to a recent inquiry regarding the government’s listing of persons considered potential security risks. Being  entered into the TIDE is a prerequisite for being potentially placed on the no-fly listing.

The Terrorist Identities Datamart Environment, or TIDE, is the U.S. Government’s central database on known or suspected international terrorists, and contains highly classified information provided by members of the Intelligence Community such as CIA, DIA, FBI, NSA, as well as many others. There are about 550,000 names in TIDE.
